Emily is a multimedia journalist who got her start as a middle school teacher. She is an education reporter at 90.9 WBUR, Boston's NPR station.
Her reporting has appeared on NPR, WBUR, and in other outlets. She has been a guest on Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Radio Boston, and her work has also been featured on Here & Now.
Emily holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an M.Ed from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
She loves telling stories about people and schools, and is fascinated by the forces outside the classroom that shape what educators and students experience inside it.
Originally from New Jersey, she lives in Massachusetts with her partner, her son Theo and her two cats.
